During covid since my wife and I knew our time would be spent at home, we decided to renovate our home, a project we have been talking about for a few years. Our goal was to upgrade our house with the intent to stay the next 10-15 years but also have it ready for sale if need be. We wanted to open up the entire main floor which required 3 load bearing walls be removed so this was something that was scary. Finding a contractor suitable to undertake this project was tough we got several quotes but were not pleased with their confidence. We happened to see Better view sign in our neighborhood and we contacted Jeffrey who came over and we gave him an overview of the project. Right away he first told us to come see the house that he was working on which we did and we got to see his workmanship. He was also very confident in explaining the scope of the project. Within a week he put together a very detailed proposal and we liked his professionalism and level of detail. We signed the contract. Jeffrey’s Engineer, and his team of contractors I will say are unmatched. The project started on-time, he dedicated a team to my home for the duration of the project which was 6 months, and they started and ended work each day on-time. They took care of all our personal belongings by shrink wrapping all windows and furniture. They cleaned up after every day and worked very neatly. It was so amazing to see how they took down our walls, supported our house with temporary supports and how they installed the beams and vertical support members. Jeffery made it a point to drop by each day to see the progress and inquire whether there were any problems and if there were, he solved them for us. Better view did an amazing job by giving us the dream home we always wanted. We loved the work done on the main and upper floor that the following year, I had Betterview finish my basement. All our friends and family love the look of our home and cannot believe the transformation. I would highly recommend this company for your home renovation project needs as they can manage everything from start to finish so you are dealing with one contractor, this makes it so simple. He has showrooms available to select your materials, but you can buy your own and pay him for labour. If I do move house, I will definitely call Jeffrey if any upgrades or major renovations are needed.

We are truly so glad that we chose Betterview as our contractor. They converted a two storey garage to a fully functional, two storey garden suite. Betterview handled and did it all, from initial design, permits, connecting gas, water and hydro and sewage lines, digging 4 feet down and putting in a new foundation, reframing, and all the interior work.

We were looking for someone who is highly professional, detail oriented and on time and budget with the work. We went through a few companies and quotes. Jeffrey had completed a major renovation for someone we knew and was highly recommended and we immediately felt the difference within our first interaction with him. He came to our site and we went through our requirements diligently and took comprehensive notes. He later provided us a quote that was highly detailed and did not leave any room for confusion down the road.

As we worked though the project, Jeffrey and his team were highly accommodating to the changes we brought forth and went over and above to ensure that our requirements we fulfilled. I must also add that that he is a man of his word! He provided us the quote before the COVID period and never backed down on his initial quote even though the prices had increased significantly during COVID. This is a quality that is not many possess these days.

I contacted Betterview for a home addition, to add another floor, 900sf. And also inquired about a garden suite. Their team was really professional and easy to work with. Best part is that they have incredible in house designer & architects and a large show room to visualize the finishes. Jeffrey and Philip was very patient and knowledgeable. They we’re able to make suggestion and their architect even did a preliminary evaluation for the garden suite. Excellent team. We love the addition. And will definitely have them back to do the Garden suite in the future.

From the start of planning to the start of looking for contractors, I was very hesitant and couldn't decide if I wanted a general contractor that designs and does the construction work or different companies that designs and offers construction services. I figured having a company that offered all the services would have less problems. Among the many general contractors that I filtered, I chose Betterview. They didn't disappoint! They were efficient and the process was good. Prior to the completion of my home project, I honestly didn't go to the site to see the work that often. It's been a year since I've moved in and everything was good so I would recommend them.
